CNC Turning

CNC turning is the standard process for turned components – bolts, shafts, axles, bushings and custom screws with a turned head. We manufacture on modern multi-axis turning centers, frequently using driven tools for bores and cross-machining operations in a single setup.

In combination with subsequent grinding or hardening, we achieve tolerances below IT 6 — even for functional dimensions such as bearing seats or sealing seats.

Materials

What regularly runs through our turning centers

We process all common materials for mechanical engineering, plant engineering and vehicle manufacturing. Special grades according to specification available on request.

  • Free-cutting steels – e.g. 11SMn30, 11SMnPb30: for cost-effective series production with high machinability
  • Quenched and tempered steels – 25CrMo4, 42CrMo4, C45: for shafts, bolts and highly stressed components
  • Case-hardening steels – 16MnCr5, 20MnCr5: for case-hardened functional surfaces
  • Stainless steels – 1.4301, 1.4404, 1.4571: corrosion resistant, food-grade
  • Aluminium & special alloys – e.g. AlMgSi1, AlCuMgPb: for lightweight, corrosion-resistant parts
  • Non-ferrous metals – CuZn39Pb3 (brass), CuSn8 (bronze), copper: for bearing bushings and electrical applications
  • Plastics – e.g. POM (Delrin), PTFE (Teflon): for sliding and chemically resistant applications
