PATTBERG Maschinenbauteile GmbH manufactures hot-formed parts and forgings to your drawings and technical specifications. With our own tool and die making, powerful eccentric, friction and maxi presses of up to over 3,000 tons, and state-of-the-art production technology, we deliver economical solutions for prototypes and series production.
Already at the development stage, our engineers assess every component for forgeability and optimization potential. A material-appropriate design can often significantly reduce material consumption, machining effort and production costs.
We supply forged, ready-to-install components, machined, quenched and tempered, ground and coated. On request, we handle the complete production chain through to the ready-to-install component. Our services:
Your advantage: while many forges supply only forged blanks, at Pattberg you receive the fully machined, assembly-ready component – from a single source and with just one point of contact.
Our hot-formed parts are used wherever maximum load-bearing capacity and precision are required – including in mechanical and plant engineering, automotive technology, agricultural technology, drive technology, hydraulics, pneumatics, and many other industrial sectors.
By combining tool and die making, forging technology, CNC machining and final assembly, we offer a seamless production chain. This reduces interfaces, shortens lead times, and gives our customers a decisive economic advantage.

For a reliable quote, we need the technical drawing, the desired material or material grade, the quantity, the surface finish or coating, the scope of processing (as-forged or mechanically finished), the desired delivery date and – if applicable – inspection requirements. Preferred file formats are STEP/STP for 3D geometries, DXF for 2D drawings and PDF for overview and dimensional drawings.
A sample part, a hand sketch or an existing component to be modified is also enough to get started – we will work out the final specification together with your design team as your supplier. Don’t have a drawing or sketch yet? Get in touch anyway – we’re happy to get involved as early as the design phase and support you with material selection, forging-suitable geometry and specification. If any information is missing, we will proactively reach out to you upon receipt rather than delaying the quote.
Quality assurance begins with us long before forging: we check the drawing for feasibility and forging-suitable design, qualify the participating forging and machining companies as suppliers, and define the inspection requirements contractually. Sample inspections take place throughout production; on goods receipt in Bochum, we check dimensions, hardness and surface condition.
Depending on the project, we provide certificates to DIN EN 10204 in grades 2.1, 2.2 or 3.1 – for safety-relevant components also 3.2 with independent witness inspection. Initial sample inspection reports (PPAP/EMPB to VDA 2 or PPAP), batch-related traceability and declarations of conformity are standard. PATTBERG has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 2008 and, additionally, to DIN EN ISO 14001 since 2024.
You will receive an initial technical response within 24 business hours – even if we still have questions regarding the specification. For complete inquiries, a firm quote is typically provided within 2 to 5 business days, depending on complexity.
More complex topics involving material selection, tooling design, coating coordination or first-sample clarification generally take 5 to 10 business days. For urgent requests, please contact us directly by phone – we will check for expedited options and, in most cases, provide a feasibility assessment on the same day.
